The coffin of Queen Elizabeth II has arrived in Edinburgh after the cortege was greeted by thousands of mourners.
Huge crowds lined the streets from the Queensferry Crossing all the way to the Palace of Holyroodhouse as the coffin was brought through the city.
Many had waited for hours to catch a glimpse of the procession after it left Balmoral shortly after 10am on Sunday morning, arriving into Edinburgh over six hours later.

Crowds could be heard clapping and paying their respects to the hearse as it travelled through the city centre at a slow pace, accompanied by a large police presence.
One bystander told Edinburgh Live: "It was very moving to see such a huge turnout, the crowds stretched as far as I could see. It felt like a huge historical moment, and I felt it was important to be there."
Another said: "The coffin went past a little faster than we were expecting, but as it happened soft clapping broke out as it moved towards Castle Terrace."
Arriving at Holyrood, the Queen was moved from into the palace, where she will remain until Monday afternoon. From there, a procession will take the coffin up the Royal Mile to St Giles', where a service will take place before she lies in rest at the cathedral for 24 hours.
Mourners will be able to visit the coffin during this time, with the council warning of long queues that could see locals waiting for hours, and have advised to dress appropriately for the weather and bring water with them.
On Tuesday, the Queen will leave Edinburgh for the final time, when she is taken from St Giles' to Edinburgh Airport, where the airspace will be temporarily closed to allow her flight to depart for London, accompanied by the Princess Royal.
