Queen Elizabeth II - An epitome of elegance

“It has always been easy to hate and destroy. To build and to cherish is much difficult."

Throughout Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign, her remarks and efforts have become well known for many of us to live by. The world is mourning with a great amount of admiration for her perseverance towards her royal commitments. Her Majesty, The longest-reigning sovereign in British history was under medical supervision in her residence at Balmoral, Scotland. Her family made sure to be around her and by her side before her passing. Queen Elizabeth Il, in full Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, officially Elizabeth Il, by the grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and her other realms and territories Queen, Defender of the Faith was indeed an emblem of stability, dignity and nobility in an era of sweeping social and political modification. She died at the age of 96. Queen remained head of state of 14 countries in addition to the U.K. and the administrator of a Commonwealth that now includes 54 countries with a collective population of over two billion people. Recently the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee was held to celebrate the Longest-Living monarch in British history.

<p>The queen’s life was indelibly marked by the war. As Princess Elizabeth, she made her first public broadcast in 1940 when she was 14, sending a wartime message to children evacuated to the countryside or overseas.</p>

Her father King George VI passed away in 1951, and a year after Elizabeth was crowned queen just at the age of 25, spending nearly three-quarters of her life on the throne. She solemnly performed her duties with utmost grace. Keeping her royal responsibility intact, her Majesty was more than a sovereign. She was a woman of substance, a queen who defined an era, giving her whole life selflessly in courtesy of the people of the Britain and Commonwealth. She was the most incredible daughter of the nation who people truly loved and appreciated throughout her reign. Born on April 21, 1926, in London Elizabeth was the elder daughter of Prince Albert, duke of York, and his wife, Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. Her education was supervised by her mother, who entrusted her daughters to governess, Marion Crawford; she was also grounded in history by C.H.K. Marten afterwards provost of Eton College and had instruction from visiting teachers in music and languages. During world war ll she and her sister, Princess Margaret Rose, perforce expended much of their time safely away from the London blitz and separated from their parents. Living mostly at Balmoral Castle in Scotland and the Royal Lodge, Windsor and Windsor Castle.

The queen was known for her favour plainness in court life and her profound and informed claim in government business, aside from the traditional and ceremonious duties. Privately, she had become a keen horsewoman; she kept racehorses, oftentimes attended races, and occasionally visited Kentucky stud farms in the United States. Her economic and property holdings made her one of the world’s richest women at the same time her devotion to her royal status set a benchmark for leaders. They say status and privileges come with a high amount of accountability, one can't just enjoy the concentration and perks of being on the stage and ignore the consequences of their actions and expressions. Queen Elizabeth was the living ideal of striking the balance in her personal and professional life, including to be always putting her best fashion foot forward.

Tributes poured in as Buckingham Palace announced her demise. With Queen’s passing, her son Charles, 73, now becomes king. Meanwhile, the world mourns for the Queen who was incredibly gracious and decent with an enduring calm. May Her Majesty Rest In Peace.
