The winner of the prestigious Booker Prize 2022 will be announced in the wee-hours of October 18, 2022, as per the Indian Standard Time. And ahead of the award ceremony, news is that Britain's Queen Consort, Camilla will present this year's Booker Prize to the winner.
It is noted that the Queen Consort, Camilla is an avid reader. So much so, that she even has her official book club called the Reading Room where she often shares her book recommendations with fellow readers.
Meanwhile, after a two-year hiatus since 2019, the Booker Prize ceremony will be held in person this year. It will take place at London's Roundhouse, and while the announcements will also be made on social media. Singer-songwriter Dua Lipa will give a speech about her love of reading at the ceremony, BBC reported.

In honour of author Hilary Mantel, who won the Booker Prize twice in her lifetime, tributes will also be paid to her. Mantel died on September 22, 2022 at the age of 70.
