The Queen's private burial has taken place tonight. The ceremony, which was held away from the cameras and the public, was held in the King George VI Memorial Chapel of St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
The King and members of the Royal Family gathered together after a difficult day in the world's spotlight at the state funeral and committal service. The burial saw the Queen reunited with her beloved Duke of Edinburgh as she is interred alongside Philip in the chapel.
The official website of the royal family said the private burial was conducted by the Dean of Windsor. "The Queen was buried together with the Duke of Edinburgh, at The King George VI Memorial Chapel," the statement said.
