An “incredibly novel” golden dress designed to shimmer in electric light when Queen Alexandra wore it at her coronation is going on show at an exhibition exploring Edwardian elegance.
The outfits worn by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra for their coronation in 1902 are among more than 150 works of art from the Royal Collection which go on display on Friday in the King’s Gallery at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.
