A 42-year-old man has been fined $2750 after he admitted to threatening a federal MP online and possessing illegal weapons.
The Queanbeyan man, who works in Canberra, was convicted on Monday, August 17, after Australian Federal Police's national security investigations (NSI) team linked him to a social media post in March this year.
Following a month-long investigation, NSI officers assisted by ACT Policing searched the man's home in Queanbeyan and workplace in the ACT.
