The Seattle Seahawks’ monumental upset of the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football was filled with plenty of memorable moments. While we will all remember Drew Lock’s touchdown strike to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, or DK Metcalf’s improbable reception, we should be giving plenty of Love to a pair of Seahawks safeties as well.
Julian Love came up with the two biggest defensive plays of the night against Philadelphia. He intercepted Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts twice, once to end the game and once to turn the tide in the fourth quarter. But his efforts were not solo.
Love’s running mate in the defensive backfield, Quandre Diggs, deserves some credit as well. Diggs took to the media to talk about his role in one of the interceptions.
Quandre Diggs yelled at #Seahawks safety partner Julian Love to pick off Jalen Hurts’ end-zone throw early 4Q vs Eagles Monday night. Love reacted to Diggs, turned & got to the ball for the interception.

Seattle’s secondary played about as well as they possibly could have. Philadelphia has an explosive offense, but their passing attack was stymied thanks to the efforts of Love and Diggs.
The Seahawks will need both of these star players to continue their high level of play as they push towards the playoffs.
