A huge change to Quality Street has left chocolate lovers "very sad" ahead of the festive season.
The much-loved, colourfully wrapped sweets are a must have over the festive season, with favourites such as The Green One, caramel swirls and strawberry delights filling up the tub. On the box, Quality Street claim to have delivered "over 75 years of magic moments".
However, this year will be very different for the Quality Street fans out there, and some are feeling "very sad" about it. The confectionary connoisseurs are planning on changing the colourful wrappers after 86 years of having them.

Currently, the chocolates are packed in shiny foil wrappers with a see through outer layer. But this year the sweets will look very different as the normal wrappers are scrapped.
Cheryl Allen, head of sustainability at Nestle, said it "wasn't an easy decision". She added: "Quality Street is a brand that people feel very strongly about.
"We know that opening the lid and seeing 'the jewels', as we call them, is really important. We think we’ve done a really good job with the redesign, and feel confident that people will respond positively."
Chocolate historian Alex Hutchinson said it was massive change for the company. He said: "It’s a huge deal. And it’s a bit sad.
"Because when Harold Mackintosh originally launched Quality Street he specifically designed it to be an explosion of colour, different flavours, different shapes. The wrapping was absolutely key."
When the Liverpool ECHO broke the news of the changes on Facebook, many shoppers also agreed that the changes were "very sad". They shared memories of childhood, spending time with grandparents in front of the telly as they enjoyed boxes of the sweets.
Dolly Aldis said: "That’s sad. We used to spend Christmas afternoon at my Nannas watching the black and white telly through the coloured cellophane and thinking it was a colour telly!! We had to make our own fun in those days."
Babs Clegg said: "Very sad. Grown up all my life with Lovely colourful Quality Street. Over 80 years. Always make wrappers into cups or ships."
Meanwhile, Amanda Ryan said: "Why...my childhood at Christmas when mum and dad bought a tin...they always said, get your favourites quickly, before anyone else....favourite was the purple one, chocolate with caramel and a hazelnut."
