Summer is officially over which means it's nearly time to crack open the Quality Street and begin the Christmas countdown.
The tubs are a stable in homes and offices across the country, but the chocolate treats tend to cause an annual row - which is the best sweet and which one should be avoided. If you're lucky, different people will favour different chocolates, but it is not uncommon for squabbles to break out as many have strong opinions on the very important topic. Sometimes even the challenge of ranking the sweets can prove controversial.
One woman who knows this only too well sparked a fierce debated after claiming she knew which was the "worst Quality Street". Taking to Reddit to share her findings, the sweet fan explained a tin of the goodies had been shared round her office.
As such, she had worked out which sweets were least favoured, based on the leftovers.
Posting to Casual UK, she revealed a pile of unwanted toffee penny sweets, and she captioned the picture: "The office have silently voted. This is the worst Quality Street sweet."
But her verdict proved controversial. Hundreds of comments were left weighing in on the matter, with many unable to agree on how best to rank the sweets.
One person replied: "Blasphemy. Gimme them all."
A second joked: "Are you looking for a new job?" And another said: "They're my favourites. The only ones I even eat are these, the caramel sticks and the solid lumps of chocolate."
Someone went so far as to comment: "Your office doesn't deserve Quality Street." Meanwhile, other commenters debated how they would rank the sweets differently.
"Strawberry cream is the worst, clearly green triangle is the best," read one reply. "Green triangles are a dark horse," someone agreed.
But another thought: "Green triangle is nasty." And a different commenter said: "Strawberry delights bang. Orange creams however, yikes from me."
Taking a different approach, someone else questioned: "How can this be worst when there is a coconut sweet?"
