Since the introduction of Apple Silicon and the M1-powered MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, the Windows ecosystem has been striving to catch up with Apple's ARM laptops. Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X Elite chipset could be the solution sought by Microsoft and its partners.

Apple's transition to its ARM-based M1 chipset in 2020 marked a significant leap in desktop computing, outperforming Windows-based competitors and older Intel MacBook laptops. The M1 offered enhanced performance, extended battery life, and seamless emulation of x86-based apps.
