A woman in her 40s has been airlifted to hospital after a quad bike crash on Flinders Island.
Tasmania Police said the woman was riding a quad bike with a pillion passenger, when she lost control just after midnight on Sunday.
Police said the quad bike rolled and the woman "received serious injuries to her upper body".
The passenger was not injured.
The driver and passenger were not wearing helmets, police said.
The woman was airlifted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service and is in a serious but stable condition in Launceston General Hospital.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
