QPR have made £260,000 from Morocco’s run to the World Cup semi-finals.
Rangers midfielder Ilias Chair is part of the Atlas Lions’ squad in Qatar and FIFA pay clubs around £8,000 for every day their player is away at the tournament.
Chair is yet to play a minute for Morocco but, if they make the final, the amount QPR earn would increase to £300,000.
Around £170million has been set aside by FIFA as part of their Club Benefits Programme.
QPR have already benefitted from goalkeeper Seny Dieng making the last-16 with Senegal, with that run banking the west London club around £180,000.
Other EFL clubs have also received cash injections from players being away at the World Cup.
AFC Wimbledon are due around £146,000 from defender Chris Gunter being away with Wales, while Watford receive £180,000 from Ismaila Sarr’s involvement with Senegal.
The Club Benefits Programme was first launched for the 2010 World Cup and was extended in 2015 to cover both the 2018 and 2022 tournaments.
