A Gold Coast man has been charged with murder after a 33-year-old was stabbed in the throat during a fight in a Brisbane unit.
The victim was initially fighting for his life after being stabbed during the altercation about 8.30pm on May 20.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition, but has since died.
Aaron Smith, 20, had his case mentioned in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday over the alleged murder, after earlier being charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police said the altercation broke out between four people at a unit in Brisbane's Moorooka suburb.
The man was given first aid by officers at the scene after suffering stab wounds to his throat and abdomen.
Smith is due to appear in the same court on June 6.
