Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray appears to be back into top form following his return from a torn ACL. He played in eight games after his return and, while his numbers were not super impressive to start, he closed the season playing very well.
Over the eight games he played, He completed 65.7% of his passes for 1,799 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions. He finished with a passer rating of 89.4, which is his career passer rating of 92.2. It was a solid but unspectacular set of numbers. He led the Cardinals to a 3-5 record in those eight games.
His numbers over the final three games, though, are great.
Over the final three games, he completed 711.7% of his passes for 724 yards, six touchdowns and one interception, which is a passer rating of 108.3.
He led one fourth-quarter comeback and had one game-winning drive. He would have had a second game-winning drive had Matt Prater made a 51-yard field goal Sunday as time expired.
Murray also ended the season healthy. With Murray playing at a high level to end the season, the level of optimism following a 4-13 season is high.
The Cardinals have plenty of problems on the roster to address. Starting quarterback is not one of them.
