Qantas passengers were evacuated from a flight in Sydney on Tuesday afternoon after flames sparked near the tyres upon landing.
The 24 passengers all exited "safely through the front stairs" of the QantasLink aircraft, chief operating officer Petrea Bradford said in a statement.
"Passengers on a flight from Lord Howe Island to Sydney were evacuated following reports of flames near the tyres after the aircraft had landed safely," she said.
"We appreciate this was unsettling for the passengers and we thank them and our crew for the calm and orderly evacuation."
Airport fire crews also attended while engineers will inspect the Dash-8 aircraft.
