Q&A: Ask us your Eurovision questions

Liverpool has made the shortlist of Eurovision host cities.

It was announced this morning (August 12) that Liverpool had joined six other potential Eurovision 2023 hosts. Other shortlisted cities include Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield.

The event's organisers, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), announced that the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 would not be held in Ukraine following Russia's invasion. The UK was chosen the host the competition on behalf of the country.

The BBC will now assess the bids from each city and a final decision on who will host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest is expected this autumn.
