Big Four accountancy firm PwC is planning to shut most of its offices over Christmas and New Year in a bid to save energy as Britain's power supplies remain under pressure.
It is a first for the business, which will close its London Embankment Place office between December 23 and January 3 as well as a number of its regional bases. PwC said there would be workspaces in nearby offices for staff who want to go into the workplace during those times.
The company, which employs around 24,000 staff and has 19 sites across the UK, said it wanted to do "our bit" to reduce energy consumption,
