PV Sindhu opts out of Uber Cup; strong side for Thomas Cup title defence

NEW DELHI: Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu, along with the two top doubles pairs, has decided to opt out of the Uber Cup. However, a formidable men's team is set to compete for its title defence in the Thomas Cup, scheduled to commence in Chengdu from April 27.

Sindhu, who has participated in six tournaments since her return to action at the Badminton Asia Team Championships in February, made the decision to withdraw from the Uber Cup in order to prioritise her recovery and readiness for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
