President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of his national security council following the humiliating attack which left a strategic bridge in Crimea badly damaged.
Parts of the Kerch bridge lurched into the sea following the blast while Ukrainian forces have been advancing on other fronts across Ukraine.
