A puppy who was shot several times and left for dead is being cared for by an animal charity after vets removed dozens of lead pellets from his body.
The young dog was found in an undisclosed location by a man who was horse-riding. He notified pet charity Friends of Rescue who took the dog to safety.
The German Shepherd cross type dog is thought to be under a year old and was found hiding in bushes.
