A couple of newborn puppies were found with cuts and body parts "chewed off" as they were rescued from a pile of rubbish dumped at the roadside.
The two pups who are thought to be just three days old had lacerations on their bodies and one was missing an ear as they were rushed to the vets.
The RSPCA are investigating the horrifying discovery, after the male puppy, who had lost his ear, died despite all efforts to save him.
