A primary school has maintained its Good Ofsted rating and has been rated good in all areas. Following an inspection in March, Brinsley Primary and Nursery School has been deemed good in its quality of education, personal development, early years provision, leadership, behaviour and attitudes.
In the report it states: “Pupils smile often because they feel happy and safe in their surroundings. They know that the staff at Brinsley are there for them if they need help.
“Pupils have positive attitudes towards learning. They like how their teachers explain things clearly and make lessons fun.”

The school has more than 200 pupils, and this was its first inspection since 2017. In regards to what the school can do to further improve, it states: “In nearly all subjects, the curriculum has been planned in a methodical way.
“What pupils need to know, and when they need to learn it, has been set out step by step. It is clear what pupils need to know and when they need to know it.
“However, in a small number of foundation subjects, leaders have not yet organised the curriculum as precisely.”
Headteacher of the school, Jason Osprey, said: “We are delighted to see that all of the hard work that the staff, governors, community and most importantly children have put into our wonderful school has been recognised by Ofsted.
“While we have always been proud of our school and community it is always fantastic to hear that others see it too.”
