Punjab: Won’t stand with thieves, says Navjot Singh Sidhu

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Congress infighting became a public spectacle once more during an anti-inflation protest on Thursday when its former president Navjot Singh Sidhu said that he “will not stand with thieves” and Punjab Youth Congress president Brinder Dhillon challenged him to name them.

Sidhu was addressing the party workers at Congress Bhawan and saying he “won’t take any names” when Dhillon got up and asked him, “You are not saying the right thing, why wouldn’t you take names? You are doing drama. We should differentiate right from wrong.” Dhillon wanted the names. Trying not to engage with him, Sidhu tried to clarify that he had spoken about price rise and Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in his speech. He told Dhillon: “You may say whatever, I will stick to what I said.”
