LUDHIANA: Ludhiana rural police has booked a woman and her alleged lover for murder of her husband. The accused were identified as Kirandeep Kaur of Jhora and Hardeep Singh of Chuhane Kalan Singh Abdulapur.
Balvir Kaur, mother of the deceased Inderjit Singh of village Jhorda, said that her son was a priest (Paathi) at a Gurdwara Sahib in the village. She added that on 6 September, at around 9 pm, her son came back home after doing Kirtan (religious recitation) from Gurdwara Sahib and went to sleep in the room after having dinner with his children and wife.
The complainant said that next morning, she went to Gurdwara Sahib after taking bath and when she came back home at around 8 am, she saw the dead body of her son lying on the bed and Kirandeep was sitting on the side the body of her deceased son and was wailing.
Balvir Kaur told cops that on that day she lost her senses after seeing the dead body of her son and there were no wound marks on his body, due to which she got him cremated after the police action under 174 CRPC.
She added that later when she checked the CCTV footage of the cameras installed in her house, they found that the cameras were switched off from 11:30 pm on the night of 6 September to 2.30 am in the morning of 7 September.
