Punjab's inter-state drug peddlers nabbed in Chhattisgarh with brown sugar worth Rs 10 lakh

RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh police have arrested two inter-state drug peddlers, hailing from Punjab, in the state capital Raipur and seized 104 gm of brown sugar worth about Rs 10 lakh from their possession.

Both accused, who belong to Tarantaran in Punjab, had come to Raipur to deliver the brown sugar to one Rupindee Singh alias Pinder, a resident of Kabir Nagar, Raipur. However, Rupinder, who has served jail terms several times in drug peddling cases, managed to escape when police raided the location where the trio was busy finalising the dealing of drugs.
