PATIALA/MANSA/BARNALA: Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday alleged that there are “hidden powers” at work behind them and asked the voters in Punjab to judge the leaders by their actions. He again cautioned people against going for any “experiment” in Punjab polls, saying only Congress was capable of maintaining peace and providing a stable government in the border state.
“Any newcomer in politics only sees a face and says ‘look he is Modi, Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi’. Remember, behind a leader there are powers... understand this... When petrol prices fell internationally, they kept rising in India to benefit the ‘hidden powers’ that got passed three black (farm) laws and demonetization. Modi is not just one person. There are powers working behind him but they remain invisible,” he said in Rajpura, near Patiala.
