CHANDIGARH: A string of inconsistent performances in the championship phase of the I-League cost RoundGlass Punjab FC's dreams of winning the title. Placed fourth in the table, the club will now hope to win both their remaining games and finish their campaign on a high.
The first of Punjab's remaining two encounters is against No.5-ranked Sreenidi Deccan FC at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium on Saturday. From Punjab's point of view, a win against the Andhra Pradesh-based club will avenge the 1-2 defeat they suffered in the first phase of the competition.
