JALANDHAR: The civil aviation department of Punjab government has received bills of over Rs 44.85 lakh for the aircraft hired for chief minister Bhagwant Mann’s visit to Gujarat from April 1 to 3, when he had gone there with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to virtually launch their party’s campaign as assembly elections are due in December next.
Responding to a RTI application filed by Bathinda resident Harmilap Singh Grewal, seeking details of amount spent on Mann’s visits to Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, the state civil aviation department has disclosed that the department had the received bills amounting to Rs 44,85,967 for the aircraft hired for the visit of the Punjab CM to Gujarat from April 1 to 3.
