Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his wife Gurpreet Kaur were blessed with a baby girl on Thursday. Bhagwant Mann is the 17th Chief minister of Punjab and has been in the office since 2022.
"God has given the gift of a daughter... Both the mother and the child are healthy," he said in the post on X (formerly Twitter). He had married Gurpreet Kaur two years ago after separating from his wife with whom he has two children.
Bhagwant Mann is 50 years old. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader married Gurpreet Kaur in July 2022, four months after he took oath as the Chief Minister of the State.
Mann is father to 22 year old Seerat Kaur Mann and 19 year old Dilshan Singh Mann. “I am also expecting a bundle of joy in my home in March. My wife is seven months pregnant. We have consciously chosen not to discover the gender and won’t do so in the future either. I urge everyone to avoid such practices,” Punjab CM was quoted by media reports.
