Pune Bus Rape Case: Laws alone can't prevent crimes against women, says Ex-CJI DY Chandrachud

Mumbai: Amid outrage over the rape of a Pune woman inside a parked bus, former Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Thursday recalled the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape case and asserted that laws alone can't prevent crimes against women; effective implementation is key to women's safety. 

The Ex-CJI made the remarks  on the sidelines of a programme in Mumbai.
