Pundit makes 'unbelievable' Nottingham Forest prediction

Nottingham Forest will edge closer to the promotion play-offs if they overcome Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in the Championship this evening (7:45pm kick-off).

Steve Cooper and Co suffered a 2-1 defeat at Cardiff City in their previous league outing but were boosted by a superb 4-1 victory over holders Leicester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the City Ground on Sunday.

That should have given them momentum heading into tonight's clash and ahead of tough run of fixtures this month.

Former Queens Park Rangers man Trevor Sinclair believes Forest have got just what it takes - the talent and ambition - to earn a top-six finish and reach the play-offs.

Speaking on talkSPORT this morning (Wednesday), he said: "Forest were absolutely unbelievable (against Leicester). The atmosphere was amazing.

"Forest were excellent. If they can get themselves in the play-off places before the end of the season I’d expect them to beat anyone in the Championship.

"They were bottom when Steve Cooper took over and I can see them going up if they get into the top six."

The Reds are only two points outside of the top six with 16 games left of the campaign.
