Carlton Palmer does not see Leeds United selling Charlie Cresswell on a permanent basis despite interest from elsewhere. Reports from Alan Nixon over the weekend claimed that Norwich City were keeping tabs on his situation should Leeds decide he is surplus to requirements at Elland Road.
Cresswell is currently on a season-long-loan at Millwall, where he has had a mixed start to life in his first full year in senior football. The 20-year-old began the campaign in superb form with two goals on his debut but has found the going tough in recent weeks.
Gary Rowett has left the centre-back out of his last two matchday squads after reverting from a back five to a back four, with Jake Cooper and Shaun Hutchinson his current preferred partnership. That said, Leeds are still thought to see Cresswell as a key player for the future, having penned a new four-year-deal last summer.

And speaking to Football League World, ex-Whites midfielder Palmer claims he is in ‘no doubt’ that Leeds will want to keep him around after his loan spell is finished at Millwall.
He said: “All clubs are looking for good young players, you know, and Charlie’s doing brilliant at Millwall. He has really impressed. A lot of clubs are looking at him, but he’s very highly rated by Leeds United.
“Leeds have a strong squad. So, that’s why they’ve let him go out on loan. I have no doubt in my mind that Leeds will not be letting this young player go.”
