Pundit highlights 'totally different' Javi Gracia playing style as concern ahead of Leeds United tenure

Sky Sports pundit and former Premier League star Clinton Morrison has shared a slight concern he has with Leeds United's appointment of new manager Javi Gracia ahead of their six-pointer clash with Southampton.

The 52-year-old replaced interim Whites boss Michael Skubala earlier this week, with his initial tenure lasting until the end of the season with the aim to simply avoid relegation.

But it's the Spaniard's playing style that is a worry for Morrison, and he claims it could take too long for the Leeds players to adjust to a new brand of football after playing under Jesse Marsch's pressing style.

"Watford fans weren’t happy when he left," Morrison said on Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports News. "I think it’s a good appointment, I think he’ll do a good job.

"They haven’t got time, this is a huge football match they have to win. This is a six pointer. But the style of play is totally different.

"He wants to play out from the back and it’s slow, whereas Leeds are used to pressing and fast play. I do think they’ve got the right man.

"But, they’ve got to take three points today."
