Former Leeds United midfielder Carlton Palmer says he's not been 'impressed' by Jesse Marsch since he took over as Whites head coach.
Marsch steered the Whites to safety last season after he was drafted in to replace the popular Marcelo Bielsa in February. The American kept Leeds in the Premier League in dramatic fashion with a 2-1 win at Brentford on the final day of the season, but Palmer says simply staying in the top flight this time around is 'not good enough'.
The Whites have lost key personnel this summer in the form of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, but Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson, Marc Roca, Darko Gyabi, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra have all joined Marsch's side.

"I've not been overly impressed with him," former England international Palmer said on talkSPORT.
"That (keeping Leeds in the Premier League) is not enough. It's not good enough.
"I expected a little bit more from him with all the hullabaloo that came with him coming in. They were very fortuitous to stay up last season and they'll have to do an awful lot better this season under him.
"They're lucky that it might only be one (relegation) spot. I think they'll be in the bottom half of the table."
