No rookie had a better performance in Week 2 than Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams. The NFL announced Thursday that Nacua has been named the Pepsi Rookie of the Week for his performance against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
In that game, Nacua caught 15 passes for 147 yards. His 15 receptions are the most by a rookie in a single game in NFL history and his 20 targets tied Cooper Kupp’s career-high despite only being in his second game as a pro.

Through two games, Nacua has 25 catches for 266 yards, ranking first in the NFL in receptions and second in receiving yards. It’s about as good a start as he and the Rams could’ve hoped for, but the next step is for him to find the end zone.
