A public servant charged with raping and committing indecent acts on a woman has been granted bail after a brief appearance in the ACT Magistrates Court on Anzac Day.
Sean Timothy McKenna, 48, appeared via phone in the court charged with two counts each of sexual intercourse without consent and indecent acts.
McKenna has not pleaded to the charges and applied for bail without opposition.
The court heard the alleged offending happened on April 22-23 and that McKenna is accused of being reckless as to consent.
Agreed bail conditions include the defendant reporting to Canberra City Police Station every Friday between 8am and 8pm and to reside at Lyneham or Hackett addresses.
He must also not contact the complainant or be within 100m of her.
He was also ordered to surrender all passports to the court by 4pm Tuesday and not approach any point of international departure.
Applying for a passport is also prohibited.
McKenna is scheduled to re-appear in court on May 16.
