Public housing fight enters new year as wreckers circle

Wreckers are poised to move in on public housing tower estates as hold-out residents run low on legal avenues to fight back.

A plan to tear down and redevelop all 44 of Melbourne's public housing towers by 2051 has been fought tooth and nail since it was announced by then Victorian premier Daniel Andrews in September 2023.
