Among soaring prices and a cost of living crisis, one pub is selling what is thought to be Britain's cheapest pint for only £1.49.
Drinkers at an East London boozer can enjoy three pints of Greene King IPA or Ruddles Best for less than a fiver.
The bargain beer is reported to be available at a Wetherspoons in Leytonstone called The Walnut Tree.
One drinker at the pub was quoted on Thursday as saying: “It’s a family-orientated pub with flowers outside.
"The drinks are cheap and the food’s good. What more can you want?
“I come by when I fancy a drink but don’t want to pay crazy prices — £1.50 is fair enough and means you can get three pints with a fiver.”
A spokesman for JD Wetherspoon told The Sun : “Like all Wetherspoons pubs, The Walnut Tree is known for its competitive prices.
“People in the area are aware the food and drinks are fairly priced and that is an attraction.
"The Walnut Tree is a very popular pub.”
Last month the Mirror reported on what is thought to be Britain's most expensive pint.
The country's most expensive beer will set drinkers back an eye-watering £80 per pint.
The Craft Beer Co chain has imported the American craft ale to go on sale at its boozer in Brixton, south London, at £105 for a 750 ml (1.3 pints) bottle.
At 11% ABV, it's a dark, sour brown ale, made by AleSmith Brewing Company, an "artisanal" microbrewery in San Diego, California.
The Reforged 20th Anniversary Ale is aged in a barrel for 18 months and has a thick, syrupy consistency and contains roasted malts and hops, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and barley wine.
It is a fusion of three other beers brewed by the same company- Speedway Stout, which sold on tap for £22.50 at the same pub chain in 2018, Wee Heavy and Old Numbskull.
