National oil and gas conglomerate PTT Plc will extend its price discount programme on cooking gas for low-income people and street food vendors for another three months from April 1-June 30, its president and CEO Auttapol Rerkpiboon said on Wednesday.
The discount -- valued at 100 baht per person per month -- was introduced in October 2019. The company has so far spent more than 15.6 million baht on the discount, he said. The discount is available to people holding a state welfare card, he said.
Concerns are growing over a cooking gas price hike pushing up household expenses.
Mr Auttapol said PTT is committed to helping mitigate the impact of high energy prices.
