Psychology says people who save money all year long to live the dream of enjoying the luxury lifestyle at least once aren't simply wasting their savings: What the behavior reveals?

Psychology says people who save money all year long to live the dream of enjoying the luxury lifestyle at least once aren't simply making an unusual financial choice. For some people, the decision can be linked to how the brain responds to anticipation, reward and contrast. A person may spend months controlling everyday expenses because they have a specific goal in mind. That goal could be a luxury holiday, an expensive meal, designer clothing, a premium hotel stay or another high-end experience. The spending can provide a sense of achievement and escape from routine. However, psychology also explains why the emotional benefit may not last for long.
