PSV Eindhoven have asked for Liverpool to "take care" of Cody Gakpo after confirming the Dutch forward's move to Anfield.
Gakpo will join the Reds in January in a deal worth an initial £37m, off the back of three goals for his country at the World Cup. The 23-year-old has already sent a message to his new club, while also showing his gratitude to the Eindhoven side after coming through the ranks to become a star under Roger Schmidt last season and Ruud van Nistelrooy this term.
Player and club alike will hope Liverpool are able to do what has been asked of them, after one of Gakpo's compatriots didn't enjoy the same treatment after a Premier League move in 2020. Donny van de Beek joined Man Utd from Ajax as a Champions League semi-finalist, but has seen his stock fall at Old Trafford.
