PSG boss unwilling to 'comment on rumours' over Kylian Mbappe's future amid Liverpool links

Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier is not ready to "comment on rumours" after Kylian Mbappe is reportedly wanting to leave the club in the January transfer window.

Spanish outlet Marca first reported that the Frenchman's relationship with PSG was beyond repair with the forward apparently losing his trust with the French champions after "failed promises".

The World Cup winner looked set to join Real Madrid in the summer on a free transfer, but a U-turn was made and Mbappe signed a contract extension to remain in Paris and was granted more power at the club.

Liverpool had been said to be monitoring Mbappe's situation all summer and now the Reds are once again being mentioned as a potential destination for the star with PSG "unwilling" to do business with Madrid.

Here is what Galtier had to say when asked about Mbappe's situation (via Football Daily): "I'm not here to comment on rumours. To answer your question about Kylian, there was a rumour that came out the afternoon of a match, Kylian had the most beautiful answer. I think he was, in a match admittedly of not a very high level, he was the player of the match.

"He performed well, was generous to the team and very supportive. What is going on in the background instead of talking about the performance, it is obvious that you are talking about something else.

"You have that right, but at a certain point when you ask me questions about I answer them honestly, I have many faults, but I am very honest. I don't lie to you when I say it's true."
