New PlayStation console owners have filed a class-action lawsuit against Sony Interactive Entertainment, claiming they are entitled to refunds following price increases on the PlayStation 5 lineup. The lawsuit argues that consumers were overcharged after Sony raised prices in response to tariff-related economic pressures.
The case, titled Walker et al v. Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, was filed on May 6, 2026, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Plaintiffs Amorey Walker and Bryce Foster-Quarles are leading the legal action.
