The PS Plus Essential July 2023 games have leaked ahead of the official announcement later today.

The PS Plus Essential games lineup for July 2023 is set to be officially revealed later today, but like clockwork, leaker billbil-kun has leaked the lineup ahead of time via Dealabs. First to the plate is Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, which was the last game in the series developed by Treyarch, and the fifth entry into the long-running Black Ops sub-series. Black Ops Cold War was also notable for being the first entry in the series to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. While it may not be quite as good as Modern Warfare 2019, it's a solid enough Call of Duty campaign (even if it is a bit cheeky to put this on there when Warzone Caldera is about to shut down).

The full list of PS Plus Essential games for July 2023 if the leaks are to be believed (which considering Billbil's track record, we'd believe it) is as follows:
- Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War (PS4|PS5)
- Alan Wake Remastered (PS4|PS5)
- Endling: Extinction is Forever (PS4|PS5)
Also included in bilbill-kun's leak is Alan Wake Remastered – which we predicted would be coming to PS Plus this month – which makes total sense when you consider Alan Wake 2 is less than four months away. Alan Wake follows the titular author as he goes on what is supposed to be a peaceful getaway to Bright Falls, Washington. However, he soon comes to realise that the words of his latest novel are coming to life before him – and to make things worse, his newest story is a horror. Having recently played Alan Wake for the first time, I wholly recommend this one to anyone. Especially since it looks to be required reading for the upcoming sequel.
Finally there's Endling: Extinction is Forever, which places you in the shoes (or rather, paws) of the last mother fox in a post-apocalyptic world. You'll need to adapt to the harsh climate and learn skills to increase you and your cubs' chances of survival in an increasingly dangerous world.
PS Plus Essential July 2023 reveal and download time
These games will be available to download on Tuesday, July 4, and will remain available to download until the PS Plus Essential August 2023 games arrive on Tuesday, August 1. As for the official reveal, Sony will officially announce the PS Plus Essential July 2023 titles for PS4 and PS5 at around 4:30pm BST today.
