PS Plus April 2023 release time: when you can download today’s Extra and Premium titles

The PS Plus April lineup for Extra and Premium tier members is set to go live later today – here are the games you can expect to see added and when you’ll be able to download them.

PlayStation players subscribed to the Extra and Premium tiers of PS Plus have a whopping 16 new games available to download from today. There’s a wide range of different genres on offer in the PS Plus April 2023 lineup, too, spanning old-school FPS franchises from the past remade for modern players and wholesome PlayStation platformers perfect for breaking out an extra PS4 or PS5 gamepad. If you’re wondering when you can get your hands on the PS Plus Extra and Premium titles for this month, we’ve got you covered.

The good news is that the vast majority of new titles are coming to the PS Plus Extra tier, being the lower-priced of the two. That means you only need to subscribe to PS Plus for £10.99 / $14.99 / AU$18.95 to gain access to 11 of the 16 new games. The final five, however, are reserved only for players who subscribe to PS Plus Premium in April, which will cost you £13.49 / $17.99 / AU$21.95 per month. Either tier is still a great way to save money compared to what these games would cost you individually.

PS Plus April 2023 Extra and Premium games release time

Typically, the time when PS Plus Extra and Premium go live sits somewhere around midday. That means you can expect to be able to download Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Doom Eternal and the other titles any time from now until around 1pm BST / 8am EDT / 5am PDT latest.

Don’t forget, April 2023’s lineup of PS Plus Essential titles went live two weeks ago on Tuesday, April 4. If you’re a PS Plus Extra or Premium subscriber you automatically gain access to this trio of titles too, which interestingly also includes Sackboy: A Big Adventure, as well as Meet Your Maker and Tails of Iron. So if you just can’t wait for the PS Plus and Extra and Premium lineup to arrive, you can download these if you haven’t already.
