During Vice President Kamala Harris' speech on Wednesday night, disruptions occurred inside the arena where many students from the nearby University of Wisconsin-Madison were in attendance.
One protestor shouted, 'Ceasefire now!' as Harris addressed the issue of the war in Gaza, expressing her commitment to ending the conflict and ensuring the safe return of hostages. She emphasized that she would use all available resources to bring about peace in the Middle East.
Despite further interruptions from protestors in the crowd, Harris asserted her right to speak, stating firmly, 'Everyone has the right to be heard, but right now I am speaking.' Her supporters responded with applause, while a sign reading 'No funding for war crimes' was displayed in the upper ranks of the arena.
Undeterred, Harris continued with her closing arguments in battleground Wisconsin, where she was addressing the audience on a night when former President Donald Trump was campaigning in Green Bay, approximately two hours away.
