Protesters rally outside Dublin stadium over Ireland-Israel match

Around 200 protesters gathered near Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Thursday, calling on Ireland to boycott its upcoming Nations League match against Israel over the war in Gaza.

Demonstrators held banners, including messages urging the Football Association of Ireland to cancel the fixture.

Some protesters also voiced support for goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, who withdrew from Ireland’s previous match against Israel.

Ireland is scheduled to face Israel again on Sunday in Serbia, with the game being played behind closed doors.
