Protester found with gun, parliament plan

Canberra Parliament House Australian Federal Police

A protester who was arrested during anti-vaccination protests in Canberra was found with a firearm, ammunition and a plan of Parliament House.

Australian Federal Police commissioner Reece Kershaw told a Senate estimates hearing there was significant concern when the man was arrested on February 4.

Another man was arrested on Saturday when more than 10,000 people descended on Parliament House, shutting down major roads and causing widespread disruption across Canberra.
