Prosecutors have filed a motion to sanction former President Donald Trump for allegedly violating a judge's gag order through his social media posts. The prosecutors are seeking permission to hold Trump in contempt and impose a $1,000 sanction for each of the three posts that are said to have violated the order.
During the court proceedings, Prosecutor Chris Conroy informed the judge about the alleged violations and requested that the judge take action against Trump. Conroy emphasized that the prosecutors are urging the judge to remove the three posts in question and to caution Trump about the potential consequences of further violations, including the possibility of facing jail time.
Conroy also mentioned that there was an additional post made by Trump earlier in the day that was not included in the motion for sanctions.
