During the ongoing legal proceedings, prosecutors have presented Michael Cohen with an amendment to the agreement involving a doorman, which now includes a $1 million liquidation clause and a perpetuity clause.
It has been revealed that American Media Inc. (AMI) acquired the life rights as part of an arrangement that was agreed upon during a meeting at Trump Tower in August 2015, involving Mr. Pecker, Cohen, and Trump.
When questioned by prosecutor Susan Hoffinger, Cohen confirmed his involvement in the agreement. He mentioned that he informed Trump once the deal was finalized, seeking acknowledgment for his role in its execution.
Upon informing Trump about the completion of the agreement, Cohen stated that Trump responded positively, saying, 'That's great.'
